As the sun sets on the Pearl Izumi ‘PI Champion’ brand ambassador team for 2017, I want to say a big thank you to Pearl Izumi UK for putting together such a rad bunch of people to represent the brand over the course of the past 8 months , it’s been an honour.

It seems an age ago since the induction day brought everyone together at Madison HQ in Milton Keynes to learn about the brand and what the programme was about. The team of 50 odd (and not so odd) riders from all sorts of backgrounds have been an inspiration this year, whether it’s been promoting healthy lifestyles, coaching kids, getting pump tracks built or just posting up awesome photos on social media.

12 months ago when I found out I was selected, to be honest, I knew very little about the brand but was looking forward to getting involved and seeing what the clothing was all about. I can honestly say that the Pearl Izumi clothing I have been wearing this year has genuinely been a pleasure to wear, with the Cargo base layer and Divide jersey quickly becoming some of my favourite bits of kit this year. Hell, I’ve even worn the lycra jersey in public…and I don’t do ‘roadie’!  I’ll definitely be looking to Pearl in the future when I need new kit, particularly for the commutes and gravel riding.

So, a big thank you to the folks at Pearl Izumi for having me on board this year and high- fives all around to my fellow ‘Class of ’17’ PI Champions!  Good luck to everyone in the future and hopefully I’ll see some of you soon, but if not, I’ll be following your rad adventures on the Facebook and Instagram sphere. πŸ˜€

Here’s a few of my PI highlights from the year:
